Job Description :

Responsibility:

1. Write quality software to solve business and technical challenges.

2. Fix any problems in the software pre-emptively and reactively as needed.

3. Understand impact on existing systems and come up with appropriate solution

4. Actively participate in the scrum processes including attending the daily scrum and the retrospectives.

5. Work closely with developers and testers to execute the team tasks.

6. Contribute to architecture reviews, design reviews, code reviews and static code inspections

7. Set up and run code reviews

8. Contribute to quarterly innovation goals.

Candidate Profile :

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor Degree in Computer science

2. Over 1+ years of experience in developing enterprise applications.

3. A hands-on work history

4. In-depth working knowledge of debugging in the platform you currently work on

5. Experience in object-oriented design and coding practice

Must have Skills:

1. A love for writing software

2. An open mind to use any new platform or tools and welcome new processes

3. Demonstrate high proficiency in one or (preferably) more of C++ and/or Java

4. Demonstrate high proficiency in SQL Programming

5. Experience with Windows and Unix platforms

6. Experience with XML, XSL, XSD

7. Excellent problem solving and communication skills

8. Experience with some source control mechanism (SVN preferred)

9. A friendly, team player, and an ability and willingness to help as needed.

Skills:

1. Experience with Agile/Scrum, Waterfall development models

2. Experience in Python

3. Experience with an online code review tool like Code Collaborator, Review Board etc.

4. Experience in Security Domain

In summary, he / she should have talent for software development, a love for writing quality code, and an ability and willingness to embrace any new technology as needed.
